In Memoriam
Massimo Marchi
Board Member of EURATEX

Massimo Marchi, 68, died on 11 March 2024.

The President, Alberto Paccanelli, the Vice-Presidents, all Board members and EURATEX staff, remember Massimo for the great contribution he has given to EURATEX for the last decade. We all treasured his calm, determination, competences, and vision. He was an enlightened businessman who saw opportunities where others didn’t. He believed in research and innovation, becoming a frontrunner in textile circularity. His loss marks a sad day for the Italian and European textile industry.

Massimo was president and CEO of the Marchi & Fildi spinning mill, as well as president of Filidea. He was highly esteemed and well known in textile businesses and associations in Piedmont but also outside the region. He was vice-president of Sistema Moda Italia, member of the board of directors of “TexClubTec”, of the board of directors of the Cassa di Risparmio di Biella Foundation, president of the Biellese Industrial Union from 1999 to 2001, and president of the publishing company of the biweekly “Il Biellese”. He was an active member of EURATEX Board on behalf of Sistema Moda Italia.

EURATEX stands by his wife, children and whole family on this day and send their most sincere condolences.
