Piatra Neamt, Romania

18 September 2015

Participants: 19

Project: SET

Memorable quote: "Energy is a major cost for us and using the ESET tool is free of charge!"

The first of the SET ad-hoc events in Romania took place on September 18, 2015 in Piatra Neamt. The workshop was organised by the National Research & Development Institute for Textiles and Leather (INCDTP) with 19 participants. The participants included representatives of 11 companies producing textiles and clothing, three clusters in the textile and clothing field, North East Regional Development Agency, Chamber of Commerce and Industry Neamt and regional vocational and technical schools in the textile and clothing.

In the first part of the meeting focused on the legal obligations and financial incentives granted to support investments in energy efficiency in Romania. Later on INCDTP specialists demonstrated how to use the tool for energy saving and efficiency – ESET – the main outcome of the SET project.

The second part of the meeting was dedicated to the presentation of benefits from the other specific self-evaluation tools. Presentation of Sara Wechsler from DATSA Textil SRL on her own successful experience in using the self-assessment tool generated an intense discussion among the participants.
