Giurgiu, Romania

20 July 2016

Participants: 17

Project: SET

The second ad hoc SET event in Romania took place on July 20, 2016 in Giurgiu as part of SET activities. The workshop organized by the National Research and Development Institute for Textiles and Leather (INCDTP) was attended by 18 persons, representatives of 7 textile and clothing manufacturing companies which are part of Technological and Industrial Park Giurgiu Nord and a cluster from the textile and clothing sector (Romanian Textile Concept).

The first part of the meeting was dedicated to the presentation of the objectives and the main result of SET project, SET Scheme, an energy saving and efficiency tool designed for textile companies to autonomously assess their energy consumption and performances in the production process, ultimately to improve their energy efficiency). INCDTP experts explained in detail and demonstrated to the participating companies how to use SET tools (SET Tool & SET WEB).

The second part of the meeting was a practice session for the application of SET Tool. With the support of INCDTP experts, 3 of the textile companies present at the meeting applied SET Tool using their own real data. The feed-back received from companies after the practice application session of SET Tool was positive. They appreciated the SET Tool as a tool which is easy to understand and apply and is also very useful in structuring data in order to perform an energy audit.
