The seminar and training session “Increasing Energy Efficiency in the apparel sector: best European practice” was organised by LATIA, Lithuanian Apparel and Textile Industry Association, on 8 September as the part of Energy Made-to-Measure campaign. Participants from the Lithuanian fashion SMEs were very targeted and motivated as topics discussed during the event were very actual for them.
Rui Martins from CITEVE (Technological Centre for the Textile and Clothing Industries of Portugal) presented in detail training modules on heating, steam/heat production and lighting. The SESEC Energy Efficiency Scheme tools EDST (Energy Distribution Support Tool), EMBT (Energy Management and Benchmark Tool) and SAT (Self-Assessment Tool) were presented to the participants of the seminar. Practical usage of SAT tool was demonstrated on the example of the Portuguese company TWINTEX. Mr. Linas Lasiauskas from the Lithuanian Apparel and Textile Industry Association has given general overview of the SESEC Project to the participants of the seminar. During the seminar there was presented the SESEC Online Platform in Lithuanian language, available training modules on specific topics and SESEC Energy Efficiency tools.
The participants of the seminar provided positive feedback after the event: they were satisfied both with contents of the seminar and the way of presentation of the relevant topics. They expressed willingness to use SESEC Training tools to benchmark the energy efficiency situation in their companies.
