Euratex position on Textile & Clothing regulatory issues to be addressed in the TTIP negotiations

Euratex, as the main voice of the European Textile & Clothing industry, welcomes the TTIP negotiations and sees them as an excellent opportunity for facilitating trade to the mutual benefit of European and American companies, in particular SMEs. Joint Statement on Promoting the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement

Consumer Product Safety Regulation & Market Surveillance Package

EURATEX, as representative of the interests of the EU Textile and Clothing Industry, welcomes the package published in February 2013 comprising a proposal for a new Consumer Product Safety and Market Surveillance Regulations. In principle EURATEX is sensitive from one hand to consumer safety concerns and from the other to industry concerns with regard to achieving a level playing field between EU and non-EU economic operators.
