Joint Statement on Promoting the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement
Ahead of the EU- Japan Summit in November, on behalf of the Textile and Clothing (T&C) industry in Europe and Japan, EURATEX and Japan Textile Federation (JTF) jointly call strongly on European Union (EU) and Japanese leaders to expedite negotiations for the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA).

Consumer Product Safety Regulation & Market Surveillance Package
EURATEX, as representative of the interests of the EU Textile and Clothing Industry, welcomes the package published in February 2013 comprising a proposal for a new Consumer Product Safety and Market Surveillance Regulations. In principle EURATEX is sensitive from one hand to consumer safety concerns and from the other to industry concerns with regard to achieving a level playing field between EU and non-EU economic operators. To this end, EURATEX supports all efforts heading in these directions.....
