Joint Statement on the EU and Japan political agreement on the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA)

Following the announcement made earlier this month by the European Union and Japan about the political agreement on the main elements of an Economic Partnership Agreement between those two partners, the Japan Textile Federation (JTF) and the European Apparel and Textile Confederation (EURATEX) welcomed wholeheartedly those results and urged their respective authorities to implement as soon as possible the agreement for the benefit of their companies...

Launch of the ART CHERIE project to exploit the fashion Cultural Heritage for the improvement of EU fashion designers

On December 15th, 2016, five project partners will be hosted by EURATEX in Brussels, Belgium, to launch the newly ERASMUS+ KA2 project ART CHERIE (Achieving and Retrieving Creativity through European Fashion Cultural Heritage Inspiration).

European and Japanese textiles industries hand in hand for the conclusion of the EU-JAPAN FTA

The Textile & Clothing (T&C) industry is a growing industry on worldwide basis. Operating in a very competitive environment, the EU and Japan are still taking leading roles in developing high technology and quality of fibres and fabrics as well as in creating high value added apparels and fashion.
