FASHION-ABLE

Fashion able researches on customized safe and healthy products for consumers with special needs.  Participated by EURATEX, the project develops technologies for flexible and eco-efficient production of clothing, footwear and orthotics for consumers with sitting posture and ease of dressing issues, (including wheel chairs-users), thermal comfort, hygiene, skin care and other needs.

MATVAL

This European networking and roadmapping project  aims at identifying the common points of research and innovation between the main stakeholders concerned by materials technologies, and involves the major European Technology Platforms related to steel, textiles, advanced materials, sustainable chemistry and mineral resources.

SUSTA-SMART

EURATEX participates in SUSTA-SMART, the project which links research and standardization to boost the market-uptake of smart textiles. Standardization is key issue for further exploitation and commercialization of smart textiles, and therefore to untap the huge market potential of such textiles.

PROsumer.NET

This project led by EURATEX brings together 5 European Technology Platforms (T&C, sporting goods, footwear, wood & paper-based industries, machinery) from the consumer goods sectors with an objective of developing a joint research roadmap for these industries and related EU research, innovation & education policy recommendations.

The project started on 1 June and will last for 24 months. A first public seminar was held on 22 June in Brussels attended by some 60 experts from across the various consumer goods sectors. EC representatives of DG Research & DG Enterprise highlighted the political potential of this initiative.

NANOfuture

The NANOfuture project has developed a community and roadmap to tackle needs and gaps to effectively bring nanotechnologies in the market, based on extensive consultations with different European Technology Platforms, experts and other stakeholders. The website provides updated relevant info updated beyond the project end.

EURATEX role in Nanofuture was mainly  to investigate and to promote matters of interest to its industry with a view at facilitating the exploitation of such promising  technologies also in the textile and clothing sector.

Building up

The BUILDING UP project has developed a roadmap for energy efficiency in building based on extensive consultations with different European Technology Platforms, experts and other stakeholders.

The Roadmap shall be used by the European Commission to identify topics for calls-for-proposals including those of Horizon 2020; additionally the Roadmap’s contents have been included in a related, larger roadmap initiative, the E2BA.

EURATEX participation in the project assured due consideration of properties and solutions offered by textile-based materials to promote opportunities both to use of and to research on such materials in the near future.
