In Memoriam

Isabelle Weiler

The Textile and Clothing industry community has lost one of its most dedicated members. Isabelle Weiler, Trade and Industry Director at EURATEX, passed away at the age of 45 after an unfair fight against cancer.

Isabelle had over ten years of experience in the Textile and Clothing industry. After several years at UNITEX Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and AIUFFASS in Lyon, in 2014 Isabelle joined EURATEX in Brussels, where she supervised the Trade and Industry department.

Isabelle was in charge of three of the most important Free Trade Agreements negotiations (EU-Japan, EU- Mercosur and TTIP EU-US) as well as other important topics on Trade, Market Access and European Industrial Policy, which she always managed in a professional and virtuous way.

The European Apparel and Textile Confederation, along with its worldwide community, will always remember Isabelle as a dedicated, knowledgeable and passionate colleague. A person you could always rely on, who always gave her best in defending and promoting the interests of the European Textile and Clothing industry.

Our deepest prayers and thoughts go to her husband, her children, the rest of her family and friends.
