A new Skills Hub connects Europe’s TCLF skills community

1 September 2026 – Europe’s textile, clothing, leather and footwear skills community now has a new digital home. The TCLF Skills Alliance platform brings together companies, education and training providers, regions, social partners and policymakers around a common objective: building the workforce the sector needs for the future.

The platform creates a single entry point for the growing network developed through the Pact for Skills and related European projects. At launch, it connected 12 Regional Skills Partnerships and 222 TCLF Skills Alliance signatories, while also bringing together resources and activities from TCLF SkillBridge, METASKILLS4TCLF and AEQUALIS4TCLF.

The Skills Hub is designed to make this ecosystem easier to navigate. Users can explore regional partnerships, identify organisations involved in the alliance, access skills resources and follow opportunities linked to upskilling, reskilling and cooperation.

The launch reflects how the European skills agenda for the TCLF industries has evolved in recent years. What started with individual projects and commitments is increasingly becoming a connected infrastructure that links skills intelligence, curriculum development, training providers, regional partnerships and industry.

For EURATEX, this coordination is essential. The sector’s skills challenge cannot be solved through isolated initiatives. Companies need long-term access to training, educators need regular dialogue with industry, and regional and European actors need better ways to share successful approaches. The new platform helps connect those different parts of the system and makes the TCLF Skills Alliance more visible and accessible to the wider textile ecosystem.
