EURATEX joins 27 European business organisations in reiterating its support to the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement and calls on the European Parliament for a swift ratification process, following the signature of the agreement on 17 July 2018.
The Textile and Clothing sector accounts for almost 4% of the EU exports in goods to Japan, with nearly 1.9 billion€ in 2017, mainly garments and technical textiles. By reinforcing an already strategic collaboration between EU and Japan, the agreement opens amazing business opportunities for companies in the Textile and Clothing sector.
