29 September 2026 – The European textile, clothing, leather and footwear ecosystem is turning the Pact for Skills into measurable action. The latest TCLF Skills Alliance progress figures show growing participation in training, new education programmes and stronger cooperation between industry and skills organisations.
According to the 2025 TCLF Skills Alliance Progress Report, 34,117 people took part in upskilling or reskilling activities during the year. Across the ecosystem, 692 training programmes were developed and a further 241 programmes were updated. The report also records 1,255 stakeholders joining skills partnerships or networks and 216 members participating in the TCLF Skills Alliance.
These figures illustrate the scale of the work now taking place across the sector. They also show why coordination between European projects, national organisations, regions and education providers remains important. Individual courses can address specific gaps, but the broader challenge is to create a culture of continuous learning that reaches companies of all sizes and supports workers throughout their careers.
The next ambition is significantly larger: the TCLF Pact for Skills aims to support around 300,000 adults in upskilling or reskilling activities every year by 2030. Reaching that objective will require sustained cooperation, stronger regional delivery and continued investment in training that responds to real company needs.
