The Lithuanian Apparel and Textile Industry Association LATIA organized SET seminar in Kaunas on 6 May 2016. Among 12 participants most were representing textile SMEs in Lithuania.


Ms. Kliopova representing the Environmental Management Institute of Kaunas University of Technology made a presentation on reducing energy by introducing cleaner production methods in textile companies. Then, Mr. Lasiauskas who is a contact point for SET Project in Lithuania, presented the SET project and its goals. This was followed by Ms. Jonaitiene from Kaunas University of Technology demonstrating online how to use the SET tools for companies.


Director General of the company UAB Liningas Mr. Raimundas Abromavicius shared his experience in using the SET Tool.  UAB Liningas was the first Lithuanian Textile company to use this tool. Mr. Abromavicius stated that the SET tool is an excellent possibility for Lithuanian textile SMEs to test how effective are their activities in energy saving field compared to other companies.


The SET project was also presented at LATIA’s annual members meeting where 50 fashion & textile SMEs were present.
