Regional Hubs

The regional Hubs are effective communities of EU textile actors integrating collaborating to:

– build a complete circular textile ecosystem

-attract investments for technological advance

– support SMEs upscale recycling technologies

– create effective value chains at regional level

EU Deliverables

Through a combination of policy support, technological advancements, and public engagement, Europe aim to become an inspiring example for the rest of the world when it comes to textile recycling. RegioGreenTex plays a fundamental role in achieving this objective through the creation of an effective network of textile actors within their own regions and beyond.

Project legacy

Although the project officially ended in December 2025, its legacy lies in several key achievements:

  1. The ecosystem it helped build:

– SMEs gained visibility and credibility, supported by tailored storytelling and promotional materials;

– Regional hubs strengthened their role as multipliers of circularity, embedding best practices into local strategies.

      2. Platforms:

– The legacy landing page (https://regiogreentex.eu/), available until the end of 2026 – provides a comprehensive list of over 100 features and tools developed by project partners, accessible via a dedicated menu;

– The Circular Garment (https://www.thecirculargarment.eu/) – the website provides a structured narrative of the garment’s journey, from recycled fibers to finished product, and highlights the collaboration of SMEs, research centers, and regional hubs across Europe;

– The RGT Stories – a visual heritage of each partner, highlighting the innovations developed throughout the project and the pathway towards sustainability.

Overall, RegioGreenTex leaves behind a clear message: circularity is not a distant goal, it is a reality shaped by cooperation, creativity, and interregional initiatives. This legacy will serve as a foundation for future projects, ensuring that Europe remains at the forefront of sustainable textile innovation.
